Position Summary
The candidate for this position will be part of the US-based product development team responsible for developing the solution as required by the fast changing retail environment, as well as developing customer-specific functionality in support of sales and implementation activities. The candidate for this position must be able to demonstrate an ability to work in a fast paced start up environment, be team-oriented, have experience with business software and demonstrate a good understanding of the key drivers that influence the retail marketplace. The candidate must be able to work within a Java environment and will have opportunities to work on projects that include phone, hand-held, Swing clients, web applications, and web services all managed by our process driven toolset. The position will require some travel.
Responsibilities include:
- Strong Java programming skills including the use of Java 1.5 language features
- Working knowledge of XML, XML Schema and XSLT
- Web Development - JSP, Servlets, JavaScript
- Analytical and problems solving skills
- Team working skills
Qualified candidates require the following skills:
- Familiarity with business software preferred
- 4+ years of education with Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related discipline
